Generate your truly random BIP39 seedphrase
Every bitcoin wallet begins with 2048 words. Shuffle Seed puts all of them in your hands. Literally. Push the words out of six sheets, mix them in a bag or hat, and blindly draw your own truly random seed phrase. No electronics, no firmware, no trust required.

3. Shuffle
Put all 2048 word chips into a bag or hat and shuffle them thoroughly.
Draw 11 words (12-word seed phrase) or 23 words (24-word seed phrase), one by one. Return each chip to the bag before the next draw — duplicates are valid.
The final word can’t be drawn. Let your hardware wallet or signing device calculate it for you.
Never store your seed phrase digitally. Engrave it on a Seedfan Steel plate and keep it in a safe place.

Secure seed generation without the complexity of dice rolls
If you want to generate your own seed instead of relying entirely on a hardware wallet’s internal random number generator, rolling dice is a well-known option.
It works—but it takes 100 rolls, careful recording and a technical verification process. A die gives you numbers. Your hardware wallet must do the rest.
Shuffle Seed takes a more direct route. You create the randomness yourself by shuffling and blindly drawing from the official BIP39 wordlist. The result is immediately visible as seed words that you can understand, record and independently verify.
Both methods lead to the same destination: a secure 24-word BIP39 seed. The route is different.
Strong security should also be usable
Dice rolls are mathematically strong. But theoretical strength is only useful when the process is followed correctly and the result can be meaningfully verified.
With dice, the most important transformation happens out of sight. Reproducing it means accurately recording 100 rolls and understanding the exact method used by the hardware wallet.
Shuffle Seed keeps the process visible. You generate the randomness yourself, work directly with seed words and use the hardware wallet only to complete and validate the seed.
That makes Shuffle Seed more than a secure way to generate entropy. It creates a process that is easier to perform, easier to understand and easier to verify.
Prefer a 12-word seed?
The same process can also be used to generate a 12-word BIP39 seed. In that case, the hardware wallet calculates the valid 12th word, including the checksum.
Always generate your seed in a private environment, away from cameras, windows and other people. Never photograph your seed or enter it into an internet-connected computer or phone.
